Se trata de la primera vez, tras el fin del gobierno militar del Capitán General Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, que cambia el gobierno hacia otra coalición diferente de la Concertación de Partidos por la democracia.
El año pasado, para ser sincero, no creía que se diera algo como lo que se dio en los resultados de la votación, pero afortunadamente para el país se produjo un cambio de gobierno que nos demostró que somos civilizados y que tenemos estabilidad política y social.
El segundo hecho fue el terremoto del día 27 de Febrero que trajo consigo cientos de muertos y miles de personas damnificadas y cesantes.
Nos demostró que aún no tenemos una conciencia tan limpia y que quedan personas que tratan de abusar del resto.
Dichas personas son los saqueadores, que robaban cosas sin necesidad extrema y quienes construyeron cierto tipo de edificaciones sin la normativa correspondiente que asegurara una resistencia ante un sismo de tal magnitud.
Afortunadamente el país tuvo la capacidad de responder, donando cada uno cierto monto de dinero, y donde las empresas asumieron un importante rol al financiar la reconstrucción y al no quejarse mayormente por un aumento del impuesto a la renta que permitiera financiar la reconstrucción de Chile.
Finalmente ocurre una negligencia tanto en privados como en las autoridades públicas que dieron pie a que ocurriera un derrumbe que tuviera a un país expectante de que los treinta y tres mineros aparecieran con vida.
Gracias a un buen actuar de las autoridades y empresas que decidieron dar su apoyo, junto con una excelente coordinación y organización por parte del grupo que se encontraba bajo tierra todo ha salido bien hasta el momento y ya se han podido comunicar, recibir comida, medicamentos, ropa y entretención.
En definitiva se puede concluir que el pueblo chileno de a poco está superando las divisiones del pasado, que es capaz de organizarse eficazmente ante situaciones adversas, que es tremendamente solidario y orgulloso de lo que tiene.
