Fundraising / Levantando capital

The organic growth exists and the intensive growth the big difference is that one allows to achieve big dreams (big business) and other small dreams, ó (business boys). Fundamentally to the moment to initiate the process of capital raising (Fundraising) it is important to realize well that, because if you want to do a small business, YOU DO NOT READ THIS!. We do the distinction on the size with regard to the value that produces in the industry the one that this new company will face.

THE SMALL DREAMS ARE NOT COOL

A lot of startups begin with the capital of the same entrepreneur, one of my associates said to me, NOT!!, this is like to donate blood!!, you can donate a little, but if you are still a lay brother you can die, taking this analogy to the startup process it refers to staying in the full of debts and of commitments that you cannot fulfill, and therefore go away imprisoned. This is the first risk of beginning a business with your own money.

Taking part of chats and business training a guy said the following thing, when there exists a good business, a good market and a powerful idea. THERE IS SOMEONE TO WHOM IT CAN BE INTERESTING, and therefore TO SEED CAPITAL.

Being concrete, there is something that him the investors like much and have to see in spite of mitigating the biggest quantity of possible risks before doing the first round of investment, this has to see with the order in which the startup develops, in the time in which it is provided only with the proper capital, for example a BUSINESS TEST, this one contributes real and more nearby information the experience obtained by the customers who consumed the above mentioned service / product, the value that they perceive and the good or bad reception of this one.

To my way of seeing, five fundamental conditions, they are:

0 - PASSION: am I in love of my startup? Is it simple of explain?

1 - DEMANDS (who will buy my service / product? and: How many clients will buy? How am I commercializing my service / product?

2 - PROCESS (of what form am I improving the way in which at present there does on the market the same service / product that I will offer?

3 - CASH FLOW (is there sustainable a financial future structure that allows to grow and to become first in the niche of market to which I will come? Can I demonstrate it?

4 - TEAM (do I have a team of work and associates that empower the present value and future of our startup? Is my team really competent how to develop the startup? Are they so passionate how I?

Spending all this... IT IS POSSIBLE to obtain Seed Capital, Angel Capital and to gain access to diverse forms of financing to begin to operate and to conquer becoming first on the market that we want. Also it is very important the fact is that the investor knows the business, and it has already operated for years in the industry and be related with the team this concept it is known how SMART MONEY.

At a conference I was lucky to meet a friend Bugueño entrepreneur named Ignacio, who invited me to attend an interesting project in which we are working now.
In this project we postulate to the hatchery at the Technical University Federico Santa Maria de Valparaiso called 3IE where unfortunately we were wrong: Why?, Low entry barriers and there is no creation of technology by entrepreneurs.

While it is true that we are implementing existing technology and we are not discovering the fire or creating the wheel, nor a radio or a computer program. What we do is innovative by definition, since innovation is creating or modifying something that already existed and put it on the market. Therefore, our project is to use certain benefits that have the technology to satisfy needs, especially people with lower incomes in a country where income distribution is quite uneven has not been attractive to be supported by an incubator .

I've seen the same trend is repeated in other cases and that projects are sometimes left with little growth potential and that they are only inventions, but with few applications.

The government effort to boost the venture is clear. But according to what we see is a part of the chain is not working properly and that part is the end, where no project is measured by its potential to meet needs or potential as a business, but take into account according to specific requirements are met and these must be aligned with the mission and vision of the incubator.

I think there is something that must change in the selection process provided that interesting projects are not left behind.
